Malta Sotheby's International Realty proudly celebrates the performance of SEVEN by Malta Sotheby's International Realty at the 2026 Rolex Middle Sea Race, following a successful campaign that saw the Maltese yacht secure two podium finishes in one of the world's most prestigious offshore sailing competitions.

Exclusively sponsored by Malta Sotheby's International Realty, SEVEN, a Grand Soleil 46 owned by Mario Debono, achieved second place in ORC Class 4 and third place in IRC Class 4 at the 47th edition of the iconic race.

Reflecting on the experience, Debono described the race as “unpredictable,” capturing the constantly changing conditions and tactical challenges that make the Rolex Middle Sea Race one of the most demanding events on the international sailing calendar.

The race commenced on Saturday, 17th October, bringing together more than 100 yachts from across the globe. The renowned 606-nautical-mile course, which starts and finishes in Malta and circumnavigates Sicily, tested crews through challenging conditions, demanding navigation and strategic decision-making.

For Debono, Rear Commodore of the Royal Malta Yacht Club, this year's race marked another significant chapter in his longstanding involvement in offshore sailing. Competing alongside co-skippers Dimitrios Paschalidis, Ramon Hill and their crew, SEVEN demonstrated resilience, adaptability and teamwork, with its results reflecting the collective effort and preparation behind the campaign.

The crew's achievements were recognised at the Rolex Middle Sea Race prize-giving ceremony on Saturday, 24th October, attended by Michael J. Zammit, Director and Joint Owner of Malta Sotheby's International Realty, who joined the celebrations in support of the team.
