Iklin, named after klin (Maltese for the herb rosemary), is a town in Malta’s central area with a population of 3422. Iklin, or L-Iklin, has a young population, with a third of its residents being younger than 18. It is also one of the more modern towns, having only been established in 1954 when the first villa in the area was built. Other villas followed over the years, as well as farmhouses and, more recently, some apartments.
