Today, the stage is taken over by Arlette Grech, who joined Malta SIR last December and describes the company as a family.
How do you connect with the top prospects and clients (sellers and buyers) within your market?
Malta is one small country, making part of a huge global market and this leaves an effect on how working relationships with stakeholders are created and maintained.
On one hand, the majority of property sellers are local residents and developers. This sector of the market, due to Malta’s size and population density, is highly connected and therefore getting in touch and keeping contact with this side of the market is usually a question of a phone call or a few minutes’ drive. Because Malta is so small, people know each other, so it is very easy to get introduced.
On the other hand, international buyers are on the move around the world and are rarely physically present in Malta. These are the majority of our prospective clients and they need to be reached in a very different way. This is where the brand’s global marketing campaign plays a great role in getting our message delivered to these clients.
If there was one thing that you wish someone had told you when you began your career, what would that be?
I first entered the real estate business in Malta over 20 years ago. I didn’t know what to expect and there are so many aspects to it. It was overwhelming at first. If I were to start all over, I wish I’d know that the right disposition coupled with experience teach one to enjoy the variety and quirks of the market.
How does the brand assist you in growing your business?

Being associated with such a brand provides leverage and a competitive edge on a market that is extremely competitive.
